Chevrolet Volt Named 2011 World Green Car
뉴욕 - 2011년형 쉐보레 볼트가 뉴욕오토쇼에서 올해의 월드 그린카로 선정되었다.
쉐보레 마케팅 부사장 릭 샤이트는 “쉐보레 볼트의 월드 그린카 선정은 전세계에 쉐보레 브랜드가 제공하는 연비기술을 증명하고 남음이 있다” 라고 말했다. 또한 그는 “이번 수상 및 이 전의 시상들로 전세계의 운송형태를 잠재적으로 변화할 수 있는 이 멋진 차량의 개발을 이끈 팀의 노력이 입증되었다”고 덧붙였다.
처음12개의 후보 차량으로 시작된 리스트는 다시 10개로 좁혀졌으며 이 후 3 차종이 남은 최종 리스트에서 쉐보레 볼트는 BMW320d Efficient Dynamics Edition, 그리고 닛산 리프와 경합을 벌였다.

Chevolet Volt Named 2011 World Green Car
NEW YORK – The 2011 Chevrolet Volt was named 2011 World Green Car of the Year at the New York Auto International Auto Show.
"The selection of the Volt as the World Green Car is a further proof point of the fuel efficient technologies that are now being offered by the Chevrolet brand around the world," said Rick Schiedt, Vice President of Chevrolet Marketing. "This award, and the others that have preceded it, validate the efforts of the development team to build a truly remarkable vehicle with the potential to transform transportation around the globe."
The Chevrolet Volt was chosen from an initial entry list of twelve (12) new vehicles from all over the world, then a short list of ten, then three finalists: the Chevrolet Volt, the BMW 320d Efficient Dynamics Edition and the Nissan Leaf.
The World Green Car Award is the latest in a series of major awards presented to the Volt, which previously was named:
