부산 정말 좋네요! 말 그대로입니다. 제가 부산에 폭 빠졌답니다. 한국 제2의 도시라는 부산은 정말 멋진 곳인 것 같습니다. ( 8월 휴가철 모습으로 자주 등장하는 해운대 사진을 보신 여러분도 아마 동의하실 걸요!) 서울이 세계적인 디자인 중심지가 되고 싶어하는 걸 알지만 부산이야말로 정말 푹 빠지게 하는 곳이랍니다.
한반도 남동쪽 끝에 위치한 도시 부산, 350만 명이 거주하며, 10만개의 조명이 아름다운 광안대교를 빗나게 하는 도시 부산. 사람들로 시끌벅적하고 아파트가 도시를 가득 매우고 현대적인 지하철로 잘 연결된 도시. 꼭 서울 같기도 합니다. 하지만 분명 다르게 느껴집니다. 서울과는 분명 다르죠! 서울사람들보다는 좀더 예의를 따지는 것 같으면서도 어찌 보면 더 편하고 마음을 열고 사는 사람들이 이곳 부산사람들이 아닌가 싶습니다. 정말 친절하고 이게 부산의 매력이 아닌가 합니다.
2002년 아시안 게임과 2002년 월드컵, 2005년 APEC이 이곳 부산에서 개최되었다는 것이 당연하다고 느껴집니다. 앞으로 부산이 하계 올림픽 개최도시로 선정될 수도 있겠죠! 부산은 그럴 만한 자격이 있는 곳이라고 생각합니다. 부산에 있는 3일 동안 자유시간을 좀 낼 수 있다면 범어사, 부산 아쿠아리움, 부산시립미술관, 복천박물관과 고분공원, 부산 박물관을 둘러 보고 싶습니다. 낮에 해운대를 거닐며 운치도 좀 느껴보고 싶습니다. 그리고 물론 해운대의 야경도 즐겨야죠! 온갖 조명으로 아름답게 빛나 세계 어느 곳보다 아름다워 보이는 해운대를 거닐고 싶습니다.
제가 부산에 푹 빠졌다고 얘기했나요?

I love Busan. There. I said it. I love Busan. I think that South Korea’s second largest city is a great city (and judging by the pictures I saw of Haeundae Beach during the August holidays you think so too). I know that Seoul wants to become a global design capital, but it is Busan that “floats my boat.”
With a population of 3.50 million people, located on the Korean Strait on the Southeastern most tip if the Korean Peninsula, it is anchored by the Gwangan Daegyo, which the city has equipped with over 100,000 lighting effects depending on the time of day and season. It’s full of people, apartment complexes, and a modern subway system, which may remind one of Seoul. But don’t be fooled. This is a very different city from Seoul. The people here are more formal than you find in Seoul, but at the same time, often more easy going and open. They are very friendly and I think this is part of Busan’s charm.
It does not surprise me the least that Busan hosted the 2002 Asian Games and APEC 2005 Korea, the 2002 FIFA World Cup and it will not surprise me if this city lands the Summer Olympic Games sometime in the not too distant future.
If I had the time – and maybe I can free up an hour or two over the next 72 hours - I’d visit Beomeosa, the Busan Aquarium, Busan Museum of Modern Art, Bokcheon-dong Burial Mounds and Museum, and the Busan Museum. I do plan on a long walk along Haeundae Beach – maybe during the day and again at night, when Busan looks its best, when its city splendor is lit up for the world to see.
