제가 블로그를 시작하면서 잘못된 사실이나 설명이 필요한 내용이 있다면 설명하겠다고 말씀드렸습니다. 지금이 바로 그 순간이죠.
경향신문 기사 "지엠대우 '쉐보레'로 잘 달릴까" 기사 관련
이 추측기사는 몇 가지가 틀렸습니다. 다음과 같은 것들이죠.
"지엠대우가 쉐보레 브랜드를 사용하는 방침을 굳혔다"라고 전했으나
진실은 쉐보레 적용과 관련한 결정을 아직 내리지 않았습니다. 사장님은 1분기 안에 결정하겠다고 밝히셨죠.
"지엠대우는 교체를 고대하고 있다...."고 전했으나
진실은 지엠대우는 브랜드 교체를 검토중이라는 것 외에는 아무것도 말한 바 없습니다.
"Vs300 은 쉐보레 브랜드를 사용할 계획이다"고 했으나
진실은 "그렇지 않다"라는 것입니다.
마지막으로, 대림대학 교수의 인용글에서 인용한 수치는 '틀렸다'고 말하고자 합니다.

저는 GM 유럽의 닉 라일리 사장님이 한국에서의 소형 SUV 생산과 관련한 발언을 확인해 드릴 수 있습니다. 현재로선 추가로 말씀드릴 수 있는 것은 없습니다.

Re: Kyunghyang Daily News story "Will GM Daewoo Succeed with Chevrolet?"
This speculative story was incorrect on a number of things. Here they are:
What it said: "GM Daewoo has decided on the Chevrolet brand..."
What is true: GM Daewoo has not made a decision yet on Chevrolet. Our President & CEO said the decision would take place before the end of the first quarter and it will.
What it said: "GM Daewoo anticipates the change..."
What is true: GM Daewoo has not said anything other than we are studying the brand change.
What is said: "VS300 will launch as a Chevrolet."
What is true: No it will not.
Finally, with regard to the Daelim University professor's quote, let me just say that his "numbers are off."
Re: GM moving small SUV production to Korea
We can confirm that a statement regarding small SUV production in South Korea was made by Nick Reilly, President GM Europe. At this time, we have no additional comments to make.
