금일 오후 디트로이트에서 공개된 쉐보레 아베오 RS 컨셉카에 대해 전세계 언론은 열렬하고도 긍정적인 반응을 보였습니다. 지엠대우는 GM의 글로벌 소형차 개발 본부로서 쉐보레 아베오 RS 를 디자인하고 개발하였습니다. 향후 쉐보레 아베오의 효시라고 할 수 있습니다.
아베오 RS 는 자동차 디자이너들이 부르는 소위 '유럽 스타일의 멋진 해치백' 으로 많은 주목을 받습니다.

GM Daewoo's Hot Hatchback - Small is Big
Great news!
Strong and positive feedback from international media this afternoon in Detroit at the reveal of the Chevrolet Aveo RS show car. GM Daewoo is the home room for GM's global small car program, and this vehicle was designed and engineered by us. It is a precursor to what the Aveo will eventually look like.
The Aveo RS is what designers call a "Euro hot hatch" which is a hatchback that screams for attention. Young buyers and enthusiasts will love this vehicle with its performance car look and feel. It is wider and longer than the current Aveo and I think this wide stance is as aggressive as the vehicle's front facia and its exposed motorcycle-like head lamps. Like the Matiz Creative/Spark, it has concealed rear door handles, which make the five door look like a sporty three door.
The interior is more spacious, stylish and functional than the current Aveo with a dual cock pit, motorcycle inspired instrument cluster (like the Matiz Creative/Spark) and a strong focus on driver. All of this, combined with black on black leather seats, and a sleek center stack add to the richness of the vehicle.
The Chevrolet Aveo RS is a hot hatch with bold, bold styling, more refinement than its predecessor and frankly, a lot more attitude.
